    I remember “kidnapping” my (now) wife from Long Island back in ’88 to bring her upstate to Saratoga for Robert Plant/Cheap Trick… sitting in the parking lot, on the hood of a borrowed car, cooler of beer listening to the different car stereos cranking everything from Zeppelin to Dream Police friends seemingly appearing out of nowhere before the show… ahh wasted youth… no I don’t mean it was wasted… I was ;)

    I saw Cheap trick in 1976 open for KISS at the Cow palace. I knew that night I was in the presence of a GREAT rock band, And I told everyone “Booing” them, chanting KISS, KISS, KISS, your fools your in the presence of one of the worlds greatist bands and to stupid to realise it! :(

    hey, the berrybest, I’m drinking 4-Loko Blue Raspberry now, so maybe drunk on these berries, I’ll waste 500 characters asking you to read my addendum to my original praise/gush of “The Flame;” it’s only 7 posts below, when I say I KNOW NIELSEN DIDN’T WRITE THE FLAME, nor did Cheap Trick even want to take this on; I’m glad they did; they blow it away; I’m so sick of all this “Swan Song” bullshit with bands & love ballads; Christ, love is everything; then drugs, sex, rock & roll.

    Kickers aren’t real “threats” on the football field. They kick the ball and maybe save a touchdown every 30 plays they’re actually on the field. There’s a big difference between blocking and spearheading a guy from his blind side.

    Kicker or not, it was a really cheap BS shot. The fact that it was a kicker who a) was new, b) doesn’t hurt a fly, and c) did nothing to deserve it is why it’s so outrageous.
