    @bfcns — I had to replace the video card. The card that Dell configured the system with does not support dual monitors. I ended up purchasing the same model video card, but in a version that DOES support dual monitors, from Newegg for half the price that Dell charged for the wrong part. To this day Dell has never made it right. They accepted return of the wrong part, paid for shipping (proper), but only ever refunded me $20. I will avoid shopping Dell in the future.

    How did you get the two monitors to work? What is your hardware configuration? I am having a problem getting an additional video card to be recognized on a 220s. Any suggestions? Thanks!

    Better to buy from a computer shop and avoid internet problems like that. You buy from a shop you can go back and they have to deal with you face to face.
