Bought this as replacement for identical card that failed after 5 years of heavy use. Only hiccup in installation was that the instructions failed to inform that the old drivers must be deleted before installation can be successful. Once I figured that out, it was smooth sailing!

I installed this May 28. It died July 3. I was out of town for 15 days after installing. So, the card lasted for only 21 days of use. It would have been a worthwhile purchase if it had lasted a reasonable length of time. The installation was easy. And although I didn’t use it for gaming, it accomplished what I needed – to free up RAM and reduce CPU usage for aps that tended to run the CPU at or near 100 percent.

This AGP design is dated, a 4X 256, BUT it really gave new life to my old Pentium 1.7G. Extremely pleased with this video upgrade. Did have onboard power feed from motherboard, but the AGP connector provided enough power, i.e. did need extra power. Truly a plug-and-go experience. Nice price, too.

I only half heartedly (or half-assedly) followed the instructions and I paid for it in time and frustration. Customer service was very good about helping me through my problem and actually spent a lot of time with me. Once the card was correctly installed, the computer displayed on my TV as desired. The computer I connected didn’t have enough horsepower to function well as an Entertainment PC but that is not the fault of this card.
